It looks like there are savings to be had with the City just implementing the 3rd phase of a three step sewer project that began in 2009. The Columbus City Council announced last week a savings of well over $1 million compared to what the original cost expectation was. A Pipeline company outside the Ohio area is contracted to complete the job. The Ohio EPA, in conjunction with the Public Works Commission, provided low interest loans, including one grant, to complete the rehabilitation and repair of sanitary sewers in several surrounding Cities.
